Good-bye

Mackenzie and her family came to pick up Sadie for the final time today.  They walked in the door and Sadie immediately began alerting.  The combination of happiness from seeing her girl, Mackenzie, and the alert caused Sadie's alert pawing to be more in the form of jumping, but eventually we caught on and Mackenzie checked. She was almost 400!  Good high Sadie! What a good alert to end it all.

I'm going to miss Sadie. I'll miss watching her alert to my classmates during school, I'll miss her being my copilot as I drive, I'll miss how she comes up growling and wiggling in pride when she has a toy in her mouth, and I'll miss her two paw alerts becoming full body hugs.  I love that dog.  But, hopefully Sadie will be another tool to help keep Mackenzie healthy, because that is her job and her purpose - to keep Mackenzie safe.

Thank you Sadie for a fantastic 9 months spent with you!
